During my first meeting with Juanita Vorster, owner and strategist of At That Point, she explained the of name of the company as follows:
“When you reach a point where you no longer know where you are going or what you are trying to achieve, you are at that point where you need us.”
This could not be more true for myself.
I arrived at my new office, at my new desk and it felt like coming home. I was welcomed with open arms, a delectable cup of cuppachino, my favorite flowers (pink roses), chocolates and words of inspiration.
Relax. Breathe in deep. Hold it. Let it out. Loosen your shoulders. Smile. Close your eyes. You’ll be very surprised at how many voices you’ll hear, whispering sweet encouragements into your ear. – Mike Dooley
At this point I discovered that Juanita had secretly contacted my husband to ask about my favorite things - how wonderful and caring of her. After my welcoming I had the opportunity to personalize my work space - a first for me! I embraced the freedom to create and set about hanging picture frames, adding plants and candles to the area around my desk and rounded it all off with a vinyl wall art sticker. In the end I had created a tranquil, inspiring space.
Juanita and Coordinator Anita van den Berg continued to spoil me throughout the day as I was introduced to the clients and projects cared for by ATP. My duties for the week was set out and I was encouraged to start a blog about my journey with ATP and tasked with drawing up a digital marketing plan for the company, whilst familiarizing myself with all the client accounts.
As Content Manager for At That Point, the title means more than just my title. It pulls through to my heart – I’m content.
