Angela previously held the position of as Chief Operating Officer at the IoDSA, having been promoted to the role in 2008. She has been involved in the field of director education for 12 years. As CEO, she serves on the Board and board sub committees of the IoDSA.
Angela also serves on the Chartered Director (South Africa) Governing Body and she is currently Chairman of the Independent Professional Body Forum, Chairman of IoDSA’s Chartered Director (SA) Examination Committee, serves on the Executive Committees of both the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI) and the African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN).

*The Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA) is a professional body that exists to promote corporate governance, and to maintain and enhance the credibility of directorship as a profession. The IoDSA provides Director training and development, board appraisal services and advisory services. The IoDSA also offers the Chartered Director(SA) designation.
The IoDSA are the custodians of the King Report on Corporate Governance. The draft version of the latest King Report - King IV - is currently open for public comment until 15 May 2016.
Director Development The IoDSA offers existing or aspiring Directors 1 day programmes, specialised programmes, snapshot sessions and mentoring circles and can provide in-house training.
Advisory Services The Centre for Corporate Governance provides advice on corporate governance, which entail: * Advising on best practice in accordance with the appropriate corporate governance code and best practice industry norms and standards, including assessments and diagnostic gap analysis * Advising on establishing and implementing ethics and related values frameworks * Advising on and drafting of charters, mandates and policies * Development of guidelines and tools on any corporate governance related issue
Board Appraisal Services A well-conducted board appraisal will achieve the following: * Benchmark board performance against established best practice * Reflect on the role of the board, its objectives and efficacy * Create the opportunity to enhance board effectiveness * Inform best practice for the recruitment and appointment of directors Identify future development needs
